This project is a residential renovation
in Adachi, Tokyo.
The renovation reorganized the existing layout
to create a brighter and more open living space.
A former Japanese-style room was converted
into a Western-style room,
allowing the living area to feel more continuous
and flexible.
The original counter kitchen was replaced
with an island kitchen,
opening the relationship between cooking,
dining, and living areas.
By removing visual barriers
and adjusting the spatial composition,
the kitchen became a central element
of daily life,
rather than a separated function.
In the loft area,
new skylights were introduced
to bring natural light from above.
This intervention improves brightness
throughout the interior,
and gives the upper volume
a more open and airy atmosphere.
Rather than changing the space
through decorative expression,
the project focuses on improving
light, circulation, and usability.
Through these adjustments,
the residence was redefined
as a brighter, more spacious,
and more comfortable living environment.
本計画は、
東京都足立区における
住宅改修プロジェクトである。
既存の間取りを再整理し、
リビングをより明るく、
開放的な空間へと更新した。
和室であった部分は洋室へと変更し、
リビングとの連続性を高めることで、
空間全体に広がりを持たせている。
既存のカウンターキッチンは、
アイランドキッチンへと変更した。
調理・食事・くつろぎの場が
ゆるやかにつながることで、
キッチンは単なる作業場ではなく、
生活の中心となる要素として
再構成されている。
また、ロフト部分には新たに天窓を設け、
上部から自然光を取り込む計画とした。
これにより、室内全体の明るさを高めるとともに、
上部空間に抜け感と軽やかさを与えている。
本計画は、
装飾的な表現を加えることではなく、
光・動線・使い勝手を整えることによって、
住まいをより快適で開放的な
生活空間へと再構成することを意図している。
